Claire has a Masters in Counselling from Monash University and a PCPsych from the University of Hong Kong. She also holds an M.A. in Modern Languages from Oxford University and a Diploma in Management from Henley Business School. As a seasoned expat and former senior executive in the corporate world, Claire is aware of the issues involved in living overseas and the impact this has on families and individuals.
Claire works with adults who are facing psychological barriers to growth and helps them build effective models of self-reliance for a more adaptive and self-fulfilling life. She also works with teenagers who are going through life stage adjustment issues.
She is trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness instruction and psycho-educational techniques. She is a Graduate Member (MBPsS) of the British Psychological Society (BPS), member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Areas of expertise include; anxiety and mood disorders; life transitional issues; bereavement; self esteem; stress management; anger issues; communication issues; and relationship problems.
