Raj holds a Master’s Degree in Counselling from University of New England, Australia (2004).
He has been a practicing counsellor for over 10 years, and has worked with clients on couple-relationships, depression, substance-abuse, personal issues, adolescent behavior, self-esteem and academic under-achievement. Primarily a Client-centered therapist with an Existential framework, Raj integrates other counselling approaches, such as CBT and Emotion-focused Therapy, when needed.
Prior to becoming a Counsellor, Raj was a Banking and Finance Executive for 20 years in Hong Kong (1982-2002), specializing in Treasury and Foreign Exchange. He now provides stress-management counselling to business executives.
Raj also holds a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from Bhopal University, India. In his spare time, he provides one-on-one Maths tuition to limited number of international school students, including those for IGCSE, IB, and A-Level courses. He combines his counselling skills in teaching maths with patience and compassion to help raise students’ self-belief and academic performance.
